This is a native App that estimates taxes on individual income laid by federal and provincial governments in Canada. It does not take into account the tax brackets, credits or deductions. It provides an overall estimation about the amount of taxes each province applies to individuals based on their annual income.
Due to the complex taxation power in Canada, a precise algorithm requires professional help in accountancy and finance. The calculations and tax rates used in this app are based on the taxable income manual calculation chart from CRA's website available here: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/fq/txrts-eng.html
In order to use the app, one simply types in the annual income. The Federal, Provincial and the total of taxes are displayed in the boxes in second row. The amount displayed on Balance row indicates the income after tax on federal, provincial and total basis. The slider inputs the sum of living costs for an individual, the final row displays the sum of all outgoing amount a long with the take-home amount which is displayed in Balance.
